iGive For An Orphan's Wish
We are excited to offer a free and easy way to support An Orphan's Wish.
iGive.com is a network of members, charitable causes, online merchants and websites brought together to enable online shoppers to support their favorite charitable organization through online searches and online shopping.
Here is how you do it.
1. Go to www.iGive.com
2. Select your cause. Enter An Orphan's Wish in the name search. It will show An Orphan's Wish (Matthews, NC). Select An Orphan's Wish as your cause.
3. Register.
4. Shop at your favorite online merchant and "earn" money for An Orphan's Wish.
5. Make sure to go to iGive.com and login as a member every time you plan to shop from an online store (you can find the alphabetical list of all the participating merchants in "All Stores" selection on the menu and go to the store’s website from there). Alternatively you can download the iGive button to your computer. The iGive.com Button tells retailers that you are an iGive member. And a percentage of every purchase you make is automatically donated to your selected cause.
iGive.com is an opportunity to support An Orphan's Wish while shopping from your favorite online merchants at no cost to you. Registration with iGive.com is free and every time you shop online at one of the over 700 participating stores, a portion of your purchase is donated to AOW. Imagine this: for all the things you were planning to purchase anyway – books, tools, toys, apparel, shoes, electronics, plane tickets – a portion of your purchase is automatically donated by the vendor to An Orphan’s Wish. The percentage donated by each vendor varies, but every small amount counts. Pennies plus pennies become dollars and soon one of our precious children is entirely sponsored... How wonderful is that!
There is no catch. The individual registering merely needs to provide a valid contact e-mail and a full name, no address or other personal information required. iGive.com does not share members information with other sources nor does it barrage its members with promotional e-mails. The prices charged by the online merchants to iGive.com shoppers are the same as those charged to other customers. The money donated to the charitable organization does not come from the online shoppers, it is paid by the online merchants to iGive.com. iGive.com aggregates all the money "earned" by each designated cause through purchases made by its supporters and at the end of the month issues a check to the cause.
